Abstract or Description:

Here's a neat protocol to help those scientists who everyday face the challenge of trying to cool their samples whilst handling 96 tubes. Juggling a 96 well plate on ice can pose certainly difficulties as well as increase sample variability due to the unstable nature of crushed ice and insulating air gaps between plate and ice.

Using a CoolRack M961D or CoolRack PCR thermo-conductive tube plate module means reproducible cooling becomes easier to achieve and in fact ensures sample intergity at any temperature.
