2nd International Conference on Nanotechnology - Innovative Materials, Processes, Products and Applications
Oct 18, 2012 - Oct 19, 2012
Event Type: Conference
Location: pune, India
Registration Deadline: Sep 30, 2012
Abstract Submission Deadline: May 31, 2012
Description of event:
“NANOCON”, the International Conference on Nanotechnology, is an endeavor of Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India, to bring together and provide a platform to the experts from Academia, Industry and R & D institutes from India and abroad to interact, deliberate, disseminate and exchange ideas, share knowledge, and develop a common vision for the future developments in the field of Nanotechnology.
‘NANOCON 2012’ is being organized with the theme ‘NanoTechnology - Innovative Materials, Processes, Products, and Applications’, during October 18-19 2012, at Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India.
The College has sustained its tradition by organizing the 2nd international Conference entitled “Nanocon 012 – Innovative Materials, Processes, Products and Applications”. The College is organizing this Conference successfully for the 2nd year. I still remember the successful Conference the College had organized on the similar theme last year. I was greatly impressed by the fact that the college is involved with several other renowned academic institutions from the USA such as North Carolina A & T State University (NCAT), Greensboro, USA, Tuskegee University, Alabama as its collaborators for organizing this Conference.
The involvement of the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), Department of Information Technology, Government of India is yet another glaring feature of this Conference. I do not think there is any need to elaborate on the pivotal role Nanotechnology can play in the frontier applications like Aerospace, Aviation, Automobile, Defense, Electronics, Chemical, Biomedical, Energy, Nuclear and Environmental sector.
The Conference, I am sure, will provide a very encouraging platform for knowledge sharing to the experts both from India and abroad. The confluence of best brains for Academic Institutions, Scientific Organization, R & D Organizations and Industry in this Conference will be of great help in preparing a blue print for academic activities and programmes for the development of Nanotechnology in our country.
Conference Objective
The objective of the NANOCON 2012 conference is to give a common platform to academicians, R & D Executives, Scientists, Industrialists, from the field of nanotechnology, to interact, exchange knowledge, deliberate upon and disseminate innovative ideas. As mentioned in the theme, the need of the hour is the provision of such a platform.
In this context, it is befitting that Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro, U.S.A, Tuskegee University, Alabama, U.S.A and C-MET, Pune, in collaboration with national premier Institutions, R & D organizations and Industries, are organizing, timely, an International Conference on the said topic. This conference would assist in providing a clear understanding of the implementation plans focusing on the development of future nanotechnology programmes.
Conference Topics
