About My Research
I am interested in all aspects of chemical analysis, with an emphasis on methods using separations technologies. Development and optimization of HPLC methods is of particular interest, but I enjoy any analytical challenge.
Analysis is an important part of just about any technical project. "You can't make good decisions without good data." My focus is on ensuring that the rest of the team has good data to work with, and can interpret it correctly. As a result, I often become involved in projects from other disciplines, covering diverse challenges like failure analysis, product development, and process optimization.
Teaching is another important activity. I have developed a series of training seminars that teach the important lab skills necessary to be a good analyst. The topics range from basic laboratory skills to advanced HPLC.
